On behalf of LJM Lind Jensen, Career | a JKS company is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join the Design department at the headquarters in Højmark.

LJM develops and manufactures advanced component solutions for leading OEMs and has production facilities in Denmark, China and India. You will join a financially robust international company with an informal culture, short decision-making paths and a high degree of independence.

Your responsibilities and tasks
You will play an important role in product development, translating customer needs and technical requirements into solutions that can be manufactured, tested and perform under demanding operating conditions and quality standards.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Developing and evaluating machine concepts and operating principles

• Creating 3D models, assemblies and production drawings

• Optimizing designs for strength, service life, assembly and manufacturing

• Specifying test and machine functions, control principles and sequences in collaboration with software engineers

• Preparing bills of materials, tolerances, requirements- and design specifications

• Specifying and performing FEA on component level

• Building prototypes and planning, conducting, analyzing and documenting tests

• Coordinating development activities, DFMEA, milestones and cross-functional APQP collaboration

Regardless of your current level of experience, the scope of your responsibilities and tasks will grow over time.

Your skills and experience
You hold a relevant degree in mechanical engineering, ideally at master’s level, or have an equivalent technical background combined with solid experience in mechanical design.

You have solid experience with 3D CAD and machine design as well as experience with FEA, prototyping, testing, machine safety, project management and APQP.

Furthermore, we are looking for someone who:

• Understands the interaction between mechanics, automation and software

• Take a practical approach and can turn designs into finished solutions
